    Great value

Overall very happy. The guide works well. The quality of the file could be better. But other than that well worth the money

    File is useless

Posted by Adelheid on Apr Thu 2024

Holder is alright, clamp is not the best. The file is completely useless! Totally warped and way to thin and flexes under the clamp even more. Held against the fully flat side of the holder to show how warped the file is fresh from the box.

Così arriva a 4 stelle.

Posted by Filigran on Mar Thu 2024

Compact, efficient, and easy to maintain a proper edge

Posted by Chris Hoekstra on Feb Tue 2024

I had tried a plastic cheap sharpener that came with a "kit" and it was pretty bad. This was the replacement I purchased after much deliberation, research, and recommendations, and I couldn't be happier. It holds a variety of honing stones, plus it comes with a somewhat decent file. I first used the included file on my ski's to set the angle I wanted and it didn't take off a lot of material and required a bit more passes than I would have expected, but once that part was done I moved on to 3 stages of diamond honing stones and it works brilliantly for this. I was able to attach and swap out the stones very quickly: the screw holds the file and stones incredibly well and never came loose. This is FAR better than having to use a clumsy clamp or a loose "tight" fit mechanic. The face that extends down the bottom of the ski is sufficiently long so that it is mostly easy to hold the proper angle with a bit of focus. I can re-sharpen/hone a set of skis in just a few minutes using this, even running through 3 stages of grit. Overall I am very happy with this tool and couldn't recommend it more for those of you who need just 1 angle and want a more professional style sharpener that will hold your file/stones securely.

    this works well

this guide works much better (for me anyway) than the plastic multi-angle guide included in the XCMAN startup package.

    Very easy to use

Posted by Hockeybod on Apr Sat 2023

Have a look at the YouTube videos of how to use this type of tool before use. Even without a ski vice it was easy to use and very effective. I wonder about the life of the file though, so dropped one star, but time will tell.
